About the Director

Robert W. Woods, Ph.D., CCCA, FAAA, ABA

Dr. Woods received his Masters Degree and Ph.D. Degree from Purdue University. He was Professor of Audiology for nine years and Adjunct Professor for seven years in the Graduate School at Columbia University. He was recently Adjunct Clinical Professor of Audiology at The College of New Jersey and has lectured at Montclair State University and Seton Hall University. Licensed both as an Audiologist and as a Hearing Aid Dispenser, Dr. Woods has been Director of Speech & Hearing Associates since 1969. He has lectured extensively in the United States and as invited lecturer in Great Britain, Germany and Yugoslavia on topics ranging from Diagnostic Audiology to Hearing Aid Fitting and Dispensing.

Dr. Woods has been awarded "Honors of the Association" from the New Jersey Speech Language and Hearing Association. He was also recognized by the New Jersey Speech and Hearing Association for demonstrating "the highest professional standards of integrity and ethical principles in the execution of clinical services." He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Speech Language and Hearing Association and on the Executive Council of the New Jersey Academy of Audiology. He has served as advisor to industry, insurance companies, school districts as well as health and governmental agencies.
